I am the salesman at this company and I would just like to point out, as you can probably see, we are getting a lot of one star reviews. I have clearly marked them as such and have informed Google. We are just waiting for them to act. This person (not the word I would prefer) is in Pakistan and is entering these reviews in order to extort money from us. He has even called me demanding payment. I have also received a call from another company in Madrid and the same is happening to them. You can see that the reviews are all being put on together and now in different languages. I would just ask, please ignore them. Catalexcars is a reputable company and fully licensed. Thank you.

When I raised a valid complaint about my purchase, management at Catalexcars was dismissive and uncooperative. Instead of resolving the issue, they shifted blame and refused any accountability. It’s disappointing to see such a defensive attitude from a company that claims to value customer satisfaction. Real professionals take responsibility—this dealership clearly does not.

Catalexcars repeatedly promised that my vehicle would be ready on [date], but each time I called, there was another excuse—paperwork, inspection, or transportation delay. Weeks later, I was still waiting, and no one offered compensation or even an apology. A business that can’t keep its word or respect customers’ time earns a single star at best.

The car I viewed online looked perfect, but the reality was completely different when I arrived. The body had scratches, the interior was worn, and several dashboard lights were on. When I pointed these out, the salesperson dismissed them as “normal for used cars.” Honest advertising matters—buyers deserve accurate photos and truthful descriptions. This experience felt misleading and untrustworthy.

My experience with Catalexcars was terrible from beginning to end. The car I bought broke down on the highway just two days after I picked it up. I called them immediately, and they told me to “take it to a mechanic near you.” No help, no apology, nothing. The diagnosis showed a transmission fault, and when I informed Catalexcars, they said it wasn’t covered under warranty because “it happened after purchase.” What a joke! I had to pay nearly €1,500 for repairs on a car they sold me as “perfect.” Never again. This dealership is a total scam.

Catalexcars should be ashamed of how they treat customers. I bought a vehicle that was advertised as “fully checked and serviced.” After only two weeks, the car started having electrical problems — lights flickering, central lock not working, and battery issues. I called them several times, but they said I could “book an appointment” in three weeks! Completely unacceptable. When I insisted, they told me the warranty didn’t cover electrical systems. So what does it cover then? Nothing! Terrible service, dishonest people, and poor-quality cars. I strongly recommend staying away from them.

The warranty offered by Catalexcars was supposed to cover mechanical problems, but when my car broke down after a month, they refused to help. They blamed a “maintenance issue” and refused to cover repairs, even after I provided proof from a certified mechanic. Their warranty is meaningless — just marketing words with no actual protection. A business that hides behind fine print instead of helping its customers deserves no more than one star.

Catalexcars delivered my vehicle dirty, with low tire pressure and a nearly empty fuel tank. Small issues like missing floor mats and a broken light switch showed that no proper inspection was done before handing it over. When I complained, they shrugged it off as “normal for used cars.” That response shows a lack of care and professionalism. Even used vehicles should be prepared properly for delivery to a customer.

I wish I could give zero stars to Catalexcars. They are experts at making false promises. The car I bought came with a supposed “12-month guarantee,” but when something actually went wrong, they refused to honor it. Every time I called, they gave me a new excuse or transferred me to another person who “wasn’t available.” The staff was rude and unhelpful, and the manager completely ignored my messages. The car ended up costing me double after repairs. Catalexcars is not a trustworthy business — they take advantage of people and don’t stand behind what they sell.

Catalexcars is a complete nightmare to deal with. They promise everything before the sale — quality, transparency, warranty — and deliver none of it afterward. The car they sold me started leaking oil after just three days. When I tried to get it repaired under their warranty, they told me it was “not covered.” I went to an independent mechanic who said the oil leak had been there for months. It’s obvious they knew about it and hid it to close the sale. I feel cheated and angry. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Stay far away from Catalexcars.

Do not trust Catalexcars. They pretend to be professional, but once they have your money, they disappear. I bought a car from them after being assured it had never been in an accident. Later, I discovered it had major structural repairs hidden under a fresh coat of paint. When I confronted the salesman, he became defensive and rude, saying “You got what you paid for.” This company lies to customers and hides the truth about their cars. I wish I had read more reviews before buying — it would have saved me thousands of euros and a lot of stress.

Shortly after pickup, warning lights and handling issues emerged that a competent pre-delivery inspection should have revealed. My independent mechanic found serious safety concerns that required immediate attention. Selling a vehicle that is not roadworthy endangers customers and other road users; this is not merely poor service, it is irresponsible. Catalexcars must improve quality control and be honest about the condition of the cars they sell.

I had a horrible experience with Deomas Movers. They arrived late and seemed completely unprepared. The movers were careless with my furniture — several items got scratched and one of my boxes was broken. When I complained, the team leader was rude and dismissive. They also overcharged me from the original quotation without any explanation. Definitely not a reliable company, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for professional movers.

Bought a Range Rover evoque recently, Steve was very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent from start to finish. Transfer is done, car is great. Would use the garage again. Highly recommended 👌

We bought a Nissan Qashqai from this dealership. The car looked fine, and the staff were friendly. We received a one-year warranty. After a few weeks, the engine warning light came on in red. The dealer repeatedly reset the error, claiming it was normal for a diesel in city driving. A few weeks later, the car completely lost power — it turned out the EGR needed replacement. We paid €340 for the repair by their “trusted mechanic.” After only 120 km, the car broke down again. Another mechanic confirmed that the EGR had not been replaced — the pipe was only secured with insulating tape, not the proper clip. We paid €170 for the correct repair. The dealer washed their hands of the issue, told us to contact the mechanic, and refuses to refund the money. We do not recommend this dealership. The warranty is meaningless, and they do not take responsibility for their work

I have been going to Catalex Cars with the intention of buying a car for nearly 6 months. Steve was incredibly helpful and extremely patient as I wasn't sure what I wanted to buy and obviously it is a major purchase. I am very grateful for this and I trust him completely. I finally bought the car I was looking for - actually the white Peugeot as per the review below. I went in on the Monday and Steve did say someone was interested and had been in twice but had not paid the deposit. I went back on Tuesday morning and no deposit had been paid so proceeded with the purchase.

Recently purchased a car from Catalex. Very good company to deal with. They took care of all the paperwork gave us a fair price for the car we part exchanged. Test drove the car on the Monday and it was ready for collection the following afternoon. Very professional company to deal with would highly recommend. They also gave us plenty of helpful advice.

EXPERIENCIA NEFASTA. No recomiendo bajo ningún concepto la compra aquí. Miramos un coche con pocos kilómetros y a buen precio, que apalabramos que iríamos a comprar al día siguiente por la mañana. Nos dicen que sin problema lo haríamos todo al día siguiente ya que estábamos decididas a que el coche fuese nuestro. No tenía matrícula ni ITV ni nada de nada porque decían que era de clientes extranjeros. El papeleo y matriculación dijeron que llevaría una semana. Y “misteriosamente” cuando fuimos a formalizar todo y a pagarlo, vemos que ya está vendido Y MATRICULADO!!!!!. Un engaño ya que ni habían respetado la palabra que nos dieron de hacer la venta con nosotras y además decían que no tenía matrícula y llevaría una semana dársela. La palabra de estos señores no infunde confianza y las ofertas que tienen dudo que sean tales ofertas de venta. Tengan cuidado.

We bought a car from Catalex Cars, expecting a smooth purchase, but soon after, we discovered several issues they never mentioned. Despite reaching out to them, they refused to take responsibility or compensate us for the repairs. Now, we’re stuck paying for problems they should have disclosed in the first place.

We bought a car that was supposed to be in good condition, but the next day we went driving it on the highway and we couldn’t even go up to 100 kph because the car was shaking crazy. We went back and ask what was the problem, they sent us to another garage and once the problem was figured out they told us that it isn’t covered by the warranty and they don’t even want to assume the problem! Be careful when buying a car there!

Firstly they screwed me over when buying my car back after 4 months at almost half the original purchase price because they knew that I had no choice but to sell the car due to unforeseen circumstances. Furthermore they are unwilling to transfer the vehicle into the dealer's name so that I can at least get some of my insurance back.

I bought a car at the beginning of the year and thought that I would wait to see how the car performed before writing a review. There was a small problem with the exhaust shortly after my purchase but this was resolved quickly and efficiently by Steve. I can highly recommend Catalexcars. Steve was Fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble for him. After we bought the car we had to go back to Ireland. While we were away Steve arranged the car insurance and annual parking in Alicante airport so the car was waiting for us when we got back. We were done renting cars every time we came to Spain and wanted to buy a fair priced reliable car. Saw Catalex a few times before so figured the had been in business a while. Great advice during purchase we test drove a couple of cars and ended up buying one. All information concerning buying and owning a car in Spain was clearly explained by Steve and we were positively surprised by the cost per year (including taxes. Insurance and airport parking). Also quick delivery (next day) and clear communication. Beware of non licensed companies selling cars in the area, they pop up and shutdown often. In short reliable company to buy second hand cars with great service!

Both Adrian and Steve have been brilliant with the recent purchase of our Ford Ecosport, it’s a lovely well prepared vehicle that we love driving. Having worked as a After Sales Manager in a lot of car main dealers for 45 years I felt I knew all the tricks of the motor trade both good and bad. But I have to say they put my mind at ease and two nicer genuine hard working people you will be hard to find. Steve even called me this week some 4 weeks after purchase to ask if everything was going okay with the car. Well Done I will recommend you both and Catalexcars to my friends and family.

Just brought a cheap runaround for when we are over here ,think we brought the cheapest car on the lot,but that made no difference to Steve ,still got great service and he even came to pick me up as I couldn't get there , sorted insurance and airport parking for me cheaper than I could ,,did have a problem with the car after 3 days ,lent me a car while sorting it and then met the owner Adrian,who explained things to me and sorted things out and also took me to guardmar to the garage to pick the car up ,can't fault their service,will go back when I need to upgrade ,, once again many thanks to you both for you help and understanding , Kevin

Really good. Wasn't at all pressured, really freindly service. Did all the paperwork and transfers picked car up in a couple of days. Even did a free spray on the car where we spotted a couple of spots. No hassle at all. Full service and a years warranty and 2 full valets for a year. Thanks guys. Would recommend.

People are usually coming to Spain for weather and food. After buying my car from Adrian and Steve, I am adding "buying a car" at the list of things to enjoy in Spain. Multilingual and extremely attentive to all our needs, we felt pampered and safe . We learned a lot in a stress free manner and a very short time ( considering how the time is counted in Spain) .
